2014 KBIS - New Products Release
Posted by KraftMaid on Apr 12th 2016
Ann Arbor, MI (February 4, 2014) – Homeowners who include either of KraftMaid Cabinetry’s newest products into their 2014 design plans should prepare to answer two questions guests will inevitably ask: Did you have that vanity custom-made? And, can I test-drive your garbage can?
KraftMaid Cabinetry is one of the nation’s most beloved cabinetry brands and is well-known for innovative and industry-leading products. This year is no exception as the company rolls out its Console Vanities and Auto-open Wastebasket – two products that focus on combining style with practicality.
KraftMaid Cabinetry has offered a wide selection of vanity sizes and styles for master suites, hallway bathrooms and powder rooms in the same finishes with the same door styles and decorative hardware for a number of years. The introduction of Console Vanities takes bathroom design to a new level by enabling homeowners and designers to create the look of freestanding fine furniture that is on trend and in demand.
The Console Vanity is available in cherry and maple in 24-, 30-, 36-, 42- and 48-inch widths, and a variety of door styles, and it features five leg options: Classic, Plain Square Post, Roman, Sterling and Taper. The Console Vanity accommodates standard vanity tops and includes a U-shaped rollout tray. Finding accessories is also a cinch – matching vanities, linen cabinets and mirrors are available with KraftMaid Cabinetry side accents and skirts, available in nine appealing collections to complement the new Console Vanities and complete any design.
“The freestanding console vanity has been cited by homeowners as one of their most-wanted bathroom upgrades or new design elements. Our goal was to offer a product that meets and exceeds their desire, made of quality products that blend seamlessly with our existing finishes, door styles and hardware,” says Karen Brawn, director of marketing for KraftMaid Cabinetry.
KraftMaid Cabinetry’s new Auto-open Wastebasket solves one of the most troubling issues with kitchen design – how to incorporate the garbage can so that it is easy to access and yet not trashy looking. The old solution, to place the receptacle inside a lower cabinet, usually under the sink, hides the can but makes getting to it messy and cumbersome.
The revolutionary Auto-open Wastebasket operates hands-free – great for accessing when a homeowner’s hands are dirty or full. To dispose of waste, a gentle nudge opens the door to reveal a wastebasket. A second bump closes the door on a Whisper Touch™ drawer glide. The Auto-open Wastebasket is available in two sizes – 15-inch which holds one 54-quart capacity wastebasket, and 18-inch which holds two 54-quart wastebaskets, a great option for recycling.
“These two product offerings illustrate the way that we approach new product development at KraftMaid Cabinetry. We look at styles and emerging trends that have staying power, and the practicalities and ways in which our products can improve our customers’ experiences in their homes,” Brawn adds.
